  • To launch QB File Doctor, select ‘Repair File’ then select ‘Network Problems’.
  • Choose ‘Browse’ and select the company file that needs to diagnose and Repair and then click ‘Open’.
  • From the ‘Show Advanced Settings’ drop-down menu, choose the type of fix you want, then click ‘Next’.
  • Type the Admin ID and password for the company file
  • Click ‘Next’.
  • Once the diagnosis and repair process finishes, Open the QuickBooks application on your computer.

Drawbacks of QuickBooks File Doctor.

  • The user is required to have an active internet connection.
  • Needs to be connected to the work process while file uploading and repair.
  • The Size of the company file limits to 2GB.
  • This tool is compatible with only the US, Canada, and UK versions.
  • The QBFD is only useful when the user is not able to access the company file.
